How to Find the Engine Serial Number on Your Arctic Cat

If you own an Arctic Cat vehicle, you may need to find the engine serial number (ESN) for various purposes, such as registering your vehicle, ordering parts, or verifying the warranty status. The ESN is a unique identifier that can help you determine the exact model and year of your engine. But where can you find the ESN on your Arctic Cat?

The answer depends on the type and model of your vehicle. Arctic Cat produces different kinds of vehicles, such as snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts. Each of these vehicles has a different location for the ESN. In this article, we will show you how to find the ESN on some of the most common Arctic Cat vehicles.

Arctic Cat Snowmobile

The ESN on an Arctic Cat snowmobile is stamped on the right-hand side of the tunnel. The tunnel is the metal frame that runs along the length of the snowmobile. You can also find a decal that contains the ESN on either the side or top rear of the tunnel.

Arctic Cat ATV

The ESN on an Arctic Cat ATV is stamped on the frame. The frame is the metal structure that supports the body and engine of the ATV. Depending on the year and model of your ATV, the location of the ESN may vary. A common location for FIS models is between the left rear upper A-Arm mounting tabs. The A-Arm is a suspension component that connects the wheel hub to the frame.

Solid rear axle models have the ESN located on the upper frame support tube just under the fender. The fender is the plastic cover that protects the wheel from mud and debris. Depending on the model and year, this location can be on either the left or right side of the frame.

Another possible location to look for the ESN is on the horizontal tube behind the front bumper. The front bumper is a metal bar that protects the front of the ATV from collisions. This location is used primarily on machines under 400cc.

Arctic Cat Prowler

The ESN on an Arctic Cat Prowler is stamped in the frame on the center of the cross tube that runs just under the tailgate. The tailgate is a hinged door that allows access to the cargo bed at the rear of the vehicle. You can also find a decal that contains the ESN on the frame support tube inside of the left front tire.

Arctic Cat Wildcat

The ESN on an Arctic Cat Wildcat is stamped on a plate directly behind the top portion of the front section of the clutch cover. The clutch cover is a metal casing that protects the clutch assembly from dirt and water. You have to look hard, but it's there. You can also find a decal that contains the ESN on a support tube inside of the left front tire.

Conclusion

Finding the engine serial number on your Arctic Cat vehicle can be tricky, but it's not impossible. You just need to know where to look and what to look for. The ESN is usually stamped on a metal part of the frame or engine, and sometimes accompanied by a decal with the same information. If you have trouble locating the ESN, you can contact the Arctic Cat support department with the complete VIN number, and they can run it in the Arctic Cat database to find out exactly what year and model machine you have.
